Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of LayerLink, a marketplace connecting people who need parts printed with independent makers who print them.
Last updated 3 August 2026
1. The marketplace
LayerLink is an intermediary. We host the quoting engine, take payment, and route each job to an independent maker. The maker — not LayerLink — manufactures and ships your part.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate details and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Maker accounts require approval and may require identity verification before they can accept jobs.
3. Orders and quotes
Quotes are generated from the geometry of the file you upload, the material and finish you select, and the pricing published by the maker. A quote becomes a binding order once payment is captured. Estimated completion dates are targets, not guarantees.
4. Payments, fees and payouts
Payments are processed by Stripe. LayerLink retains a platform commission on each paid order; the remainder is the maker's payout, transferred to their connected Stripe account or settled manually. Makers are responsible for their own taxes.
5. Your files and intellectual property
You keep all rights in the models you upload. You grant LayerLink and the assigned maker a limited licence to store, view and print the file solely to fulfil your order. You confirm you have the right to have the model printed.
6. Prohibited items
You may not order or print firearms and firearm components, weapons, counterfeit or infringing goods, or anything unlawful in the maker's jurisdiction. Makers may decline any job and we may cancel and refund orders that breach this section.
7. Maker obligations
Makers must print to the agreed specification, keep order status and tracking up to date, delete customer files after fulfilment, and not reuse or redistribute customer models.
8. Disputes
If a part arrives damaged, incorrect or never arrives, open a dispute from the order page. LayerLink reviews the evidence from both sides and may issue a refund or reprint. See our refund policy.
9. Liability
LayerLink is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Printed parts are not certified for safety-critical, medical or load-bearing use unless expressly agreed with the maker.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app. Questions: support@layerlink-3d.com.
